River Road

The stereotypically dry South Texas landscape is dotted with small spring fed rivers that have their headwaters deep in the Texas Hill Country. The constant sixty-eight degree temperature of the water provides a welcome relief during the hot summer for thousands of weekend vacationers. The Guadalupe River is the most popular of the spots for tubers, toobing as the locals call it, and the area is swarming with locals enjoying the sun and water.

River Road follows the meandering Guadalupe from German New Braunfels to Canyon Lake.
