Mornin' on the Brazos

For an urbanite such as me, any opportunity to leave the city behind for awhile is welcomed enthusiastically. My friend’s spread on the Upper Brazos River near Waco provides a quiet setting for many weekends free of electricity, running water, air-conditioning and heaters. “Working the ranch” is often grueling work, but it gives this city schmuck an appreciation of those that came before and all the difficulties that they faced on a daily basis.
